This is, by far, my favorite Dean Koontz book, at least among the ones I’ve read. I learned of it from a professor (Hurley) at UC Boulder. She taught graduate & undergraduate courses on horror. She assigned Midnight to her undergrads.
I like Phantoms too, even though it gets silly. And Intensity certainly lives up to its name. I prefer supernatural horror, but haven’t found any other supernatural horror by DK that I like nearly as much as Midnight …or Phantoms for that matter. (ESP & supernatural visions just doesn’t do it for me)
