The Foundation series is Isaac Asimov’s iconic masterpiece. Unfolding against the backdrop of a crumbling Galactic Empire, the story of Hari Seldon’s two Foundations is a lasting testament to an extraordinary imagination, one that shaped science fiction as we know it today.
The Galactic Empire has prospered for twelve thousand years. Nobody suspects that the heart of the thriving Empire is rotten, until psychohistorian Hari Seldon uses his new science to foresee its terrible fate.
Exiled to the desolate planet Terminus, Seldon establishes a colony of the greatest minds in the Empire, a Foundation which holds the key to changing the fate of the galaxy.
However, the death throes of the Empire breed hostile new enemies, and the young Foundation’s fate will be threatened first.
These are high-quality, complete audiobooks in 128kbps M4B format featuring the wonderful voice acting of William Hope.
The last chapter of Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation are read by Scott Brick, this is apparently in the official versions of the William Hope audiobooks, so it had nothing to do with me.
Enjoy!

Great series, can you do them individually please, thank you in advance!

You can use torrent to download them individually. Just uncheck the files you don’t want to download.

Thanks for assembling these

@WolvenBolt can you clarify? The opening credits of some of the books say that William Hope is the reader but the closing credits say Scott Brick read it and that it was produced in 2003 rather than 2019.

@CryBoy Each audiobook has William Hope starting off by saying “Read to you by William Hope”, so they are ready by him, but I do know some of the books have Scott Brick reading at the end, such as the last chapter of Second Foundation, but that wasn’t something I did, that’s from the official audiobook itself.

Thank you so much for the non-Brick version of these books!
What’s the difference between the books in this collection and the single book releases like Foundation’s Edge? The files are of the same size, but they have different SH1 checksums.

@m_seitzz I honestly don’t know what you mean by SH1 checksums, I just managed to get the audiobooks through this site (mp3 files) and the rest from free audible credits with multiple accounts with a free trial, then I used ffmpeg and some coding I set up in bat files and a .ps1 file to convert them into a HQ M4B file with each mp3 file set as a chapter and then used inaudible to edit chapter names and add the audiobook cover image. I’m not super technical to the point of knowing what a SH1 checksum is.

Thanks @WolvenBolt. Again, thanks for grouping these.

Just read your last comment. Thanks for Much More than just grouping these!

@WolvenBolt A checksum algorithm like SH1, CRC, MD5, calculates a short string or number from a file. If two files have the same checksum, they are likely to be identical. It sounds like you created new audio files with your ffmpeg workflow for this collection, instead of copying the old files you released previously. The audio will be very much the same but the file checksum will be different. No biggie, I was just curious, and now I have an explanation :-)

Does anyone know why the last chapter of “Foundation and Empire” is read by Scott Brick? Same with the last chapter of “Second Foundation”. Is this a mistake with the rip, or are they like this on Audible?

@audiowyrm Read my comment above, it’s apparently like that in the official audio, I did not add that
