Brexit was a tax and social market dodge planned by the ultra rich for their exclusive benefit. So far as I know it accomplished its goals perfectly.
I mean, yes, it’s quite likely that there will eventually be riots and escalating levels of violence if current UK poverty persist. But that’s a “next quarter” kind of problem.

Blame the after-effects of voting for sociopaths, narcissists and the frontpersons of ruthless monopolists on leaving a centralized authoritarian unelected superstate? I am continuously amazed at the insanity of belief in normie retardo-logic like this. Of course the EU and their technocrats were going to make you Brits pay for leaving their Orwellian system,and yet Switzerland and other non-EU states seems to be doing fine, funny that.

Call me a cynic, but NOTHING went wrong with Brexit. It did what everyone with any brain knew it was going to do. Send the country to Hell in a handcart.
Why is everyone (who voted for it) so surprised? Britain needs to get its head from up it’s arse and look to the future instead of the past.
That future is in the EU, if they’re mad enough to have us back. No bespoke terms, no pound, but we’ll know who to blame for that, but still, they’ll all have died (so will I, probably).
