The War on Our History
Confederate memorials toppled . . . Columbus statues attacked with red paint.
They started with slave-owning Confederate generals, but they’re not stopping there.
The vandals are only pretending to care about the character of particular American heroes. In reality, they hate what those heroes represent: the truths asserted in the Declaration of Independence and embodied in the Constitution. And they are bent on taking America down and replacing our free society with a socialist utopia. All that stands in their way is Americans’ reverence for our history of freedom.
Which is why that history simply has to go.
Now, Jarrett Stepman, editor at The Daily Signal and host of Right Side of History, exposes the true aims of the war on our history:
The war on America: World history is full of conquests and suffering indigenous peoples. Why target Christopher Columbus? What they really want to tear down is America.
The war on Thanksgiving: World history is full of colonists. Why target the Pilgrims? What they really want to tear down is American freedom and prosperity.
The war on the Founding: World history is full of slavery. Why target Thomas Jefferson? What they really want to tear down are the rights endowed by our Creator.
The war on the common man: World history is full of victorious generals and populist politicians. Why target Andrew Jackson? What they really want to tear down is democracy.
The war on the South: World history is full of civil strife. Why target Confederate heroes like Robert E. Lee? What they really want to tear down is respect for America’s past and the reconciliation that renewed our Union.
The war on patriotism: World history is full of national pride. Why target Teddy Roosevelt? What they really want to tear down is the idea of American greatness.
The war on the American century: World history is full of bloody wars. What they really want to tear down is America’s defeat of totalitarianism.
If America is to survive this assault, we must rally to the defense of our illustrious history. The War on History is the battle plan.

The J-left want to recreate bolshevism in the US. First they wipe out our history and demoralize us. Once we feel we don’t deserve this country, they can replace us.

jsynapses,
“In reality, they hate what those heroes represent”
When you decide the others behavior is driven by hate, you feel empowered to dehumanize them.
Yet, whether you believe it or not, most actions against white power symbols are driven by fear.
Fear, for instance, that you believe slaves where happy because they never rebelled, and so there is something in their nature that justifies the way they were treated. They were not happy and they did rebel, but they did not write the history books.
If you cannot find in your heart compassion enough to understand the fears of others, don’t expect them to forgive the past, for the shadows the past casts can only be cleared by accepting the other as your equal, and equally deserving.

I am not a leftist liberal in any sense of the word, and I love books like this written from the currently demonized side of the political spectrum… but “America’s defeat of totalitarianism?” I sure hope this is not a reference to WW2! Claiming that America won that war is ignorance of the war’s history, and immensely disrespectfull to Brittain and its allies who faught the German war machine at it’s peak before it was near collapse.

As I hear it, every state in the Confederacy included “we can own slaves” right at the top of their state constitutions.
So yeah, the Civil War was about states rights. The right of the state to treat humans as property.
Why it took many thousands of years to arrive at the idea that this was not a good thing is probably down to this sort of thinking. “Hey look at us, we’re great, how can anything we do be bad. Look at those guys, they own slaves, why not complain about them first.”

@BillEBob - not really. That is the narrative that has been promoted by liberal professors for decades. There is a whole lot that has been buried over the years - mostly the real truth. If you can find actual history books from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s you will find a great deal differs from what America has been taught post WWII.
The civil war was not about slaves (yes that was an issue) but more about financial (and political) freedom. Most of the money was controlled by a few northerners. One could not arrange finance from friends or family overseas as regulations prohibited that. Those in the north called the shots on lending and more importantly, where growers & farmers could sell their product and in a lot of cases for how much. Southern growers could sell for double what the various factories in the north would pay but were not allowed to do so. Predatory practices ran many large and small off their land, which was then purchased and packaged together as large-scale operations. In fact, the biggest slave owner was a company solely owned by northern interests and managed by over-seers that were so brutal most southern plantation owners would not employ them. There is far more than this, but due to the destruction over the years of important journals and documents it is very difficult to learn the truth of our history. This not only includes the civil war, but the way certain wealthy individuals corrupted our government agencies and had so many laws and treaties changed to suit their goals. While I have a bit of sympathy to the Black American, the reality is that they were sold into slavery by their own. Hell, those sold into China were castrated prior to sailing. Pretty sure they had far worse lives than those sold into America. I would go into the other countries that had slaves and treated them worse than America. I actually feel a hell of a lot more sympathy for the American Indian - they were screwed over far worse than any other habitant of this country … all in the name of fattening the pocketbooks of a handful of northern money people.
As a nation, we have a lot to be ashamed of, but in balance I believe our good outweighs our bad.

It’s important to note that slavery was a UNIVERSAL enterprise engaged in THROUGHOUT history. It was uniquely WESTERN CIVILIZATION that abolished slavery, first in Britain, followed by America, which was proceeded by the two engaging various forms of diplomacy around the world to put an end to it, an endeavor which continues to this day.
The issue of independent state’s rights vs. the centralized union, goes all the way back to the First Continental Congress, which was largely stemming from the right to own slaves, but not exclusively. During the Civil War, General Lee was more concerned about honor and state’s rights then he was about slavery. This was when a man’s honor was actually worth something. At its conclusion, President Lincoln paid his respects to him and accepted his surrender without penalties.
Incidentally, both the Federalists (favoring a strong central government) and the Anti-Federalists (favoring a union of independent states) were different branches of conservatism.
Why isn’t this in the history books? I’ll tell you why, because too many people are driven by their emotions and political agendas, rather than basic unadulterated history!!! AND THIS, MY FRIENDS, IS CLASSIC MARXISM, WHERE EVERYTHING IS REINTERPRETED THROUGH THE LENSES OF CLASS WARFARE AND RACE CONFLICT!!!
DON’T FEED THE BEAST!!!

@Jiminy Cricket - Always makes me smile when I see someone has done their homework and utilizes the brain to disseminate fact from fiction.

And so, Nanna666, since you expressed an opinion on what the book says, can we assume that you actually listened to it? Just curious. And, if so, what was the most erroneous thing you found in it?

Your’re a real Gomer The history you rile against is what gives you the right to say what your’re saying.
The Left, Democrats, and the Soros zombies would like to eradicate true history.
Great book.Ignore the Soros brown shirts.

@Jiminy Cricket
So let me get this right: it’s slavery or Marxism. You’re against one, you’ve got to be for for the other?
