Having low IQ, being deprived of robust communication in infancy, and lacking proper education, add up to disability, not a new dialect.
Instead of inventing such pathetic excuses for their shortcomings, blacks could simply try to catch up to the rest of society.
Most whites speak at least 2 languages fluently. Most American blacks can’t even speak English.

I often find myself dissenting from McWhorter, but his ideas are always stimulating (and how many linguistics can you say that about).
In particular, I am intrigued about how real hemiglossia is. But I suppose the other comment is a strong argument in its favor.

Silesian, keep your fashy mouth shut. You’re not even speaking the kind of English dialect you’re revering properly. You clearly know nothing about linguistics or history and definitely didn’t read this book or any in this category. For someone accusing others of low iq and lack of education, yours seems pretty damned abysmal. Your shoddily crafted dog whistles may work with your white supremacist internet friends, but keep it away from people having actual discourse about language.

One may speak The Queen’s English, American English, or incorrect English. A peasant’s English, if you will. Similar as Mexican is to true Spanish.
