It is kind shocking to how many people are upset in some way over “manhood”. If you don’t care for the author perhaps you could point to such a treatise written by someone from the left?
It is disgusting how many people on here are upset over such a fundamental issue (as pertains to 50% of the population). If you don’t like how it is be handled, or by whom It is being handled maybe you should find your own authors willing to address the issue.
Unfortunately, there seem to be few on your side willing or even wanting to take this on seriously.
Is it the subject itself you find so upsetting?

“The American Founders …” Ah yes, those paradigms of masculinity - couldn’t make their own fortunes so had to rely o the work of others. Those epitomes of masculinity who raped slaves. Definitely the models of ability and virtue we should be looking to as shining examples.
Anyway, I think it is good that audiobook bay is featuring more fiction for the 5 to 7 year olds.

We (all) as a group, who even in our free time value reading/learning so much that we want to be able to do so even when doing other things, should be better than this. These debates are devolving to the point that they do not resemble debates.
Maybe some of the critiques on here could point out the offending issues specifically as they stood out to them. That would help the dialog into something resembling productivity.
What about the issue of manhood in this book do you not agree with?
Almost everything that has been brought up so far to criticize the book has absolutely nothing to do with the actual book.
The insults are fantastic, but you guys can’t think they suffice as actual opposing points of view. In fact, it comes off in ways, I want to assume, is contrary to how you would want people to think of you. Some of you guys, I know can do better.
Mansfield’s book was good too.
