I like Colm Toibin very much, and always read his reviews in the LRB with pleasure. I’m not sure anything I would call pleasure can be found anywhere in the saga of the Atreides, but with luck ‘pity and terror’ may yet be found there. Thank you, cabbagedoll.

@vaneyck - Pity, terror and perhaps catharsis. I remember reading that that the writers of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica (Ron Moore, et al) were inspired partly by the Oresteia. Greek Mythology was patterned throughout that series. Steal from the best, I suppose.
