The war is over. But the reckoning has just begun.
One year after the fall of the Queen Mother, Androchida Prime stands on the edge of rebirth. Insarka Kindesh wears the crown, determined to transform a brutal empire into a beacon of peace.
But old powers don’t die quietly.
When an assassination attempt shatters the new Queen’s coronation, Patrick “Wic” Finnegan and Phantom Team are thrust back into the chaos they fought to end. Enemies once hidden now rise from the shadows in a desperate attempt to seize control of the fractured Republic. As rebellion ignites across the planet, Wic must choose how far he’s willing to go to save a species who once tried to eradicate his own.
Little does Wic know, something far greater than rebellion is watching from the void, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
The Ruins of the Earth saga returns in this explosive continuation from best-selling authors Christopher Hopper and J.N. Chaney. Strap in for another hard-hitting mission through the galaxy with your favorite band of flounder-hating operators.

Are we sure about that file size? Normally these books are in the 400-800mb range.

Yeah, small size is due to mediocre quality. MediaInfo says its 156MB, 11 hrs 31 min, AAC-LC, 30.8 kbps average, 34kbps max, 21.533 fps, 1 channel (mono), 22.05kHz, stream size 152MB (98%), image is 500×500px jpeg 48.6kB, and its chapterized. Audio quality is minimally good enough for most people, but I would definitely grab 64kbps 44.1kHz stereo if it became available, that would weigh in around 300-400MB.
Transcode to Opus 32kbps stereo 24kHz, with the included 2400×2400 646kB image, doesn’t help much, 145MB, but no noticeable loss in audio quality either. If tc1cy4 had used Opus to begin from a 64kbps AAC source file the size would probably be around 200MB.
If people want smaller files switch to Opus, its widely supported now, most streaming uses it even if there’s a “save to mp3″ option its probably client side transcode on the fly, 32kbps is usually good for voice only from a 64kbps source, or use 48kbps with background music or special effects (graphic audio) usually down from a 128kbps source. The M4B container will accept Opus, but the Ogg container is free and works just as well. On Linux cli, for concating files while generating chapter data, recently I figured out m4b-tool will bypass its usual use of aac to use ffmpeg opus, then convert the output from m4b to opus-ogg with ffmpeg, but m4b-tool is picky about folder structure and it will not accept opus input files - an improvement over using “for” loops mp3’s but I don’t have a tool to chapterize my large collection of books with loose ex-mp3 opus files.
