This is from a genre called: “Christian Fiction”
What that means, is that one of the characters in the book goes through trials and tribulations in life which lead them to convert to fundamentalist christianity. The act of religious conversion is the denoument of the story. The purpose of the book is to convert people and/or to shore-up those who are beginning to question their programming… um… I mean faith.
