Actually, if you would bother to research this rather than spouting leftist propaganda from George Soros and his ilk you would find that the opposite is true.
Feel free to list the source of the statistics that back your fanciful assertion.
Economic drain aside, native Brits are being displaced from employment, housing and their own neighborhoods by mass immigration. Even their own proud history is being revised to suit PC. Native Brits are now the minority in their own capital city.
A crime wave has also plagued London as a result (scooter robbery, knife crime, acid attacks etc). London is no longer one of the safest cities (thanks in part to Mayor Sadiq Kahn). And of course Londoners are now plagued with terrorism from Muslim extremist immigrants.
The only people who benefit are politicians on the left who gain a voting base, big business who profit from wage pressure and returns on rising realty rentals, and the largely unskilled 3rd World immigrants who join the gravy train.
The left only acknowledge cultural preservation for non-European groups, such as native American Indians. Hypocritically they demonize Anglo Saxons as racist for naturally wishing to preserve their own culture, homogeneity and functional society. The Japanese have a sensible immigration policy — Japan has low crime, no racial problems, no welfare drain and they do not suffer bigotry from racial quotas for public housing, jobs or even holding an opinion not in conformity with the mass media and the left.

@DouglasPouch - Throughout human history most countries were built on genocide and often slavery (or virtual slavery), the USA is far from unique in that regard.
Examples for ancient cultures include: Eygpt, Greece, Rome, China. USA historical contemporary cultures: British/French/European expansionism. And current examples: a number of dictorial countries in Africa, and/or most middle eastern countries.
Basically, humans are still primitive tribal beings and if you don’t look like us, think like us, or believe like us, your not equal to us, and we can rationalize killing you, enslaving you, or using you to our needs/ends.

I’m sure this evil interloper has plenty of studies to back up her statements. Has anyone ever actually looked at any of these studies? I actually to some time to look at some sociology studies recent, they all have massive holes and blind spots one can drive a truck through, each of which too less than 5 or 10 minutes to uncover. Are we really supposed to believe ANY of these studies? And not common sense? Of course, illegal immigrants who will work for less are going to take jobs from Americans and drive wages down. Who in the hell can disagree with that?

@TotallyDisenfranchised - Japan has no racial problems (or terrorism, escalating crime) because they do not allow mass immigration (the West does not even generally use a sensible points based system).
I would not say that the Japanese are any less bigoted than, say, South African government officials who have made it policy to discriminate against hiring whites in the civil service in favour of blacks. This is undisguised, official policy.
The Japanese have preserved social harmony, and preserved their culture, due to homogeneity. While foreigners can apply for work visas, immigration is very strictly controlled.

@TotallyDisenfranchised - P.S. I was referring to the bigotry of the liberal left that awards job quotas, council housing, etc based on skin colour in favour of those with darker skin pigmentation. Immigrants are also guilty of this as they have increased their political representation as their numbers increase (the London mayor for example).

@litote, your examples of Japan and South Africa are flawed though. Both cultures/governments have created policies that are very discriminatory, so by their very nature they are totally biased. That’s not the same as not having a society that suffers bigotry. Personally, I don’t believe a culture like that exists anywhere in the world. Humans haven’t evolved to that point yet, and quite probably never will.

@TotallyDisenfranchised: In the case of South Africa, the discriminatory hiring practices of the government, not to mention the land confiscations from white farmers, are another form of Apartheid, which has no societal justification. These policies can only serve to harm the society’s efficiency and cohesion. The failed state of Zimbabwe is a lesson in this.
In the case of Japan, the immigration policy is discriminating, rather than discriminatory. Skilled foreigners are free to work in Japan, but immigration has sensible controls. These controls are justifiable as they protect social harmony and make economic sense. Bigotry has nothing to do with it.
Sweden’s welfare system, by comparison, has now been overwhelmed by an open borders policy and it has severe problems with crime in no-go areas populated by Muslim immigrants. Riots, rape and terrorism are the bitter fruit of this misguided policy, thanks to neomarxist liberals and quislings.

Are you suggesting “The Australian” is an illegitimate media platform to report on a study? It is not even regarded as a right wing paper, if that is what you are implying. It is in fact widely respected and is one of the more politically balanced newspaper, which is why I favour it. What is your issue with it, assuming you even have a subscription, which you must have to actually read it?
You should doubt your assumptions more, especially when they conveniently support your neomarxist ideology. The study was in fact produced by two Ivy League professors from Yale and Princeton — both institutions are definitely considered to lean to the left, as with most universities in the West.

A UK passport does not make one “British”. A common ancestry, culture, religion, language, national identity and loyalty to your ancestral land is what makes one English, or Scottish, or Welsh, or Irish, or even “British”.
To claim these “brown-skinned” people are more oustanding and trustworthy than the native Brits is absurd bigotry. It isn’t the native Brits who are planting bombs and going on stabbing sprees, nor being largely responsible for the wave of acid attacks and scooter robberies in London.

- Adopting native American Indian culture is “cultural appropriation” and is evil.
But being given permission to live on an Indian reservation makes one a privileged guest of this culture, which deserves to be fully preserved, but does not make one an American Indian.
Yet, being granted citizenship in the UK automatically makes one a native “Briton” in all senses of the word, regardless of any shared cultural identity and is good — and beneficial to native Britons.
- Multiculturalism is good; integration is irrelevant. Increased health and welfare burden, crime, racial tension and housing costs are imaginary. All immigrants to the UK are to be regarded as truely “British”, regardless of their level of integration.
