Living in a racist world is like living in a world that bears no resemblance to reality. Black and brown people suffer from a greater number of mental health difficulties too, caused in no small part by trying to survive a racist society.

Columbia22– it’s “on behalf.” Polaris, lakealex07, latt9292, geehan– you sure do seem to speak authoritatively on a book that was only dropped today. Did you set the playback speed to 20x? Obamasux (love that timely name, btw), “nazis” does not require an apostrophe, it’s the Klan, and if you had the slightest sense of the word “woke,” you wouldn’t use it in that way. And finally, Uekwqo– technically you belong in the first group (the ones who seem to have completed this book in one day), but I’m curious about this “gaslighting” of which you speak. it seems to be tied to a general complaint about how few countries are majority white and a need to stop the nebulous threat represented by the number of countries that aren’t majority non-white (as if it actually mattered), a number in decline, and the need to correct that global trend, which sounds a lot like the completely nonexistent “white genocide” theory so lovingly embraced by little white boys who are afraid their toys might be taken away and given to a little brown kid. Poor little guy…
