I’m really surprised with the lack of general history books here based on Russia and Germany. Sure, there is the book about Prussia, as well as many based on Germany during WW2. There are a half dozen or so based on the Russian Revolution era, a bunch on Putin, and the odd Stalin or khrushchev, but that’s it. Sure, when put like that, there seems to be a lot, but compare that to the number of books here based on Britian, and you will see a huge difference in options

Of course a book on the history of Germany is always going to be a tough one to write, especially a book that goes back any further them the 1800’s, since Germany, as we know it today, wasn’t even a nation prior to January 18th 1871 under the leadership of Otto Von Bismarck

Thanks a lot for this upload, and i agree with Edward, anything based on the histories of Russia and Germany, in my opinion, are of immense intrest. Their histories both play out like a soap opera. Even Game of Thrones could NEVER come close to equalling the amount of intrigue and infighting these 2 nations has produced
