You thought you knew him. You were dead wrong.
Carver Young dreams of becoming a detective, despite growing up in an orphanage with only crime novels to encourage him.
But when he is adopted by Detective Hawking of the world famous Pinkerton Agency, Carver is given not only the chance to find his biological father, he finds himself smack in the middle of a real life investigation: tracking down a vicious serial killer who has thrown New York City into utter panic.
When the case begins to unfold, however, it’s worse than he could have ever imagined, and his loyalty to Mr. Hawking and the Pinkertons comes into question. As the body count rises and the investigation becomes dire, Carver must decide where his true loyalty lies.
Full of whip-smart dialogue, kid-friendly gadgets, and featuring a then New York City Police Commissioner Teddy Roosevelt, Ripper challenges everything you thought you knew about the world’s most famous serial killer.

i listen to about 4 or 5 books a week. Pretty much every week. So, the fact that I still have happy memories of this one after listening to it the first time it was posted says a lot about this story.
Of course, that’s just my opinion, take it for what its worth. I hope we see more in this series, but I never checked to see if there actually was a sequel or anything.

Thanks for the upload. Been meaning to give one of their westerns a try, this might be it. Out of curiosity, why? Why do you turn off your computer? That doesnt make sense, so im curious why you even do that? I didnt realise anyone actually still thought you should turn your computer off, as thats a absurd idea that went out with old switching technology in the 80s. Modern computers should never be turned off if at all possible, its actually harmful and damaging. And power use cost is minimal. So I just wonder if there is some other wierd reason you turn your computer off at night, thats when most actually make sure they are seeding

Ahh, i understand. I have a friend that when we are on trips and staying in a hotel will claim he cant even sleep if a cell phone screen is even on, or if a cell phone charger has a green light on it, let alone a computer on. KInda silly to me, but some people are weird and become obsessed with the tiniest sound or whatever and let it keep them awake. Sometimes the sound or light doesnt even need to exist, but if they believe it does, its enough to keep them awake. LIke obviously some tiny led on a charger on the other side of a room is not going to keep you awake because you cant even see it with your eyes closed. But if you become obsessed over the fact that you think you can see some light and its keeping you up, or some sound, it doesnt even need to be a real distraction to keep you awake. Its way crazy people will tape over smoke detector leds in hotel rooms and the like. I actually goto sleep listening to audio dramas and usually have something playing the entire time im sleeping
