This is a master work from one of the most erudite and learned traditional teachers and scholars of Vedanta in the world. This is a series of 240 one hour classes held over a period of two years in Chennai (Madras). The teacher is Sw Paramarthananda Saraswatti, who is a disciple of Sw Dayananda Saraswatti.
Each class contains two or three verses which are unfolded with astounding clarity, detail and scholarly understanding.
Sw Paramarthananda has deep scholarly credentials and is a traditional teacher from an unbroken lineage going back to Sri Adi Sankacharya. Sw Paramarthananda’s erudition, empathy and sense of humour shine through all his classes.
The Bhagavad Gita tackles the fundamental human condition and problem. Namely, Insecurity and sorrow. The BG is considered the equal to the Upanisads and the Brahma Sutras because it teaches the funamental truth Tat Tvam Asi, You Are That.
