I found the repeated characterizations of bad guys as effeminate and homosexual to be offensive, and tired. This detracted significantly for a book that would have otherwise been a joy. I might hope that our society could move beyond the use of such stereotypes. They only reinforce the destructive and inaccurate belief that gays are morally flawed and likely to betray those around them.
Just because a dude is a c@ck sucker, that doesn’t make him a dick.
