This book should be required reading right after “On the Origin of Species” in schools.
“On the Origin of Species” talks about evolution for organisms but “The Selfish Gene” also talks about governments, companies and religions evolve.
Do not forget this is the book and the man who coined the word Meme.

This is not rocket science.
The growing body of scientific evidence shows clearly that the universe had a beginning and was designed.
Design can only come from a mind.
To disregard the science is up to each individual, to deny the science is merely irrantional.

If I’m not mistaken this book has some random cuts which do not really injure the listening experience, but would be better gone.

Those are terrible ideas. What school science needs is a happy compromise between easy-to-digest and up-to-date material. “Origin” is a lot of things, including ground-breaking and pigeon-preoccupied, but it is decidedly neither of those. And “Selfish Gene” is a similar sort of mismatch.
Unless you were thinking of something other than science education, such as history or philosophy or general critical thinking? If so, there may be more merit in these suggestions.
