Storyline has become drawn out and dull.
Too much emphasis on building up their skills and such. There’s more to life than that!
Will stay with it awhile longer and hope
it gets more interesting.

Thanks! @MrMojo You can skim the next few books on RR if you want to see where it’s going, but at this point, you’re several bks in, so it’s definitely time to move on if you still don’t like it.
Pretty sure the whole point of the series is to have the characters eventually “ascend” to the higher realm (past tier 50), so they’ll never stop working on their skills. From what i remember, this book in particular spends an obnoxious amount of time focusing on the characters developing their “intents” (i love this series, but even i got annoyed by this). Even after going to war, they still don’t quit working on their skills; they just use the war to further hone them.
