Malcolm Wrightson Nance (born September 20, 1961) is an American author and media commentator on terrorism, intelligence, insurgency and torture. He is a former United States Navy senior chief petty officer specializing in naval cryptography.
Nance is an intelligence and foreign policy analyst who frequently discusses the history, personalities, and organization of jihadi radicalization and al-Qaeda and the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL); Southwest Asian and African terror groups; as well as counterinsurgency and asymmetric warfare.[1] Schooled in Arabic, he is active in the field of national security policy particularly, in anti- and counter-terrorism intelligence, terrorist strategy and tactics, torture and counter-ideology in combating Islamic extremism. In 2016, he published the book, Defeating ISIS: Who They Are, How They Fight, What They Believe,[2] and published The Plot to Hack America the same year.[3]
In 2014, he founded and became the executive director of the Terror Asymmetrics Project on Strategy, Tactics and Radical Ideologies (TAPSTRI), a small Hudson, New York-based think tank.

A picture sometimes seems to be worth a thousand words. We’re primarily visual creatures and can be influenced disproportionately by a well-chosen, “impactful” image. Literally framing the scene/tableau, conveying allegorical meaning. It’s all about stimulating an immediate reaction in the mind of the viewer and manipulating their receptivity for the more complex message.

Anyone who appears only on MSNBC as an “expert” and never debates or goes onto, say, Fox News, with such important facts is nothing more than a propagandist. I can’t find any videos anywhere of Nance in speaking engagements where he answers critics, no university speaking, no healthy debates. I’m not impressed with someone who shouts into their own echo-chamber.
TDS sufferers think this guy should be trusted ONLY because of his background. BUT, if you look at where he hangs out NOW, only MSNBC, it’s easy to see that he’s highly biased. There are plenty of other Experts who completely disagree with this guy, and the declassified memos, applications, etc up to this point do not support what he says. They actually refute and prove that this story is just that, a cover for what actually happened.
I’m surprised if he’s such a security analyst that he’s not mentioned the nearly 50,000 sealed indictments, surely some of which are related to security. How many of you that believe this guy actually go out and research for yourself. Any of you know about the nearly 50,000 sealed indictments? Not worried? Get ready, it’s gonna be awesome. And this is a fact.
Anyone who upvotes/likes this book is only doing it because of CONFIRMATION BIAS and that’s all. He’s submitting theories as explanations for a scattered set of shaky details. Confirmation bias and nothing else. You’ve been played.

The proverbial ‘eye roll’ precedes any response we give when asked about his exploits. He has been declared persona non grata (PNG) from his profession, and then presumes to question service members’ honor based on a vote and lawful support for a candidate (now President). Nance, in fact, called for ISIS to bomb Trump Towers in Istanbul following President Trump’s call to Turkish President Erdogan after his reelection; Nance deleted that tweet but did not apologize, according to the Washington Times.”
