Oh no… it’s worthless Freudian crap.
I’d suggest a quick read up on the author and his practice of child abuse while blaming everything he perceived wrong with children (mostly erroneously) on the parents - up to and including autism.
That alone should tell anyone the quality of “insight” such a mind can come up with.
If you want actually useful information on tales told to children (which were not necessarily fairy tales in the beginning) look up “When They Severed Earth from Sky: How the Human Mind Shapes Myth” by Elizabeth Jane Wayland Barber.
OR EVEN “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” by Joseph Campbell.
Granted, Campbell is not far from Freudians, pushing Jungian nonsense wherever he can but at least he did his homework and there’s actual insight into myths and religions and misunderstandings when taking them literally.
