I would say, not true. Men are responsible for great novels, philosophy, science and law. You might wonder, what’s wrong with women?

Jsynapses, there is absolutely nothing in your comment that contradicts the premise of this book, which discusses patriarchal inhibition of male emotions — not male intellect, which pretty much everybody supports.
Isn’t there enough antagonism right now without projecting where it doesn’t exist?

Obviously Hooks knows little about patriarchy and even less about men. Patriarchy largely stems from the monarchical society of the past, as a system of hierarchy.
