I am a gun owning citizen. I enjoy going to the range and punching holes in paper at very high velocity. That being said, I think the current administration of the NRA has perverted its purpose.

Frank Smyth is a “progressive” (Left Wing hack) who identifies with the likes of Mother Jones, The Guardian, et al. This isn’t about gun control. Its about gun confiscation. Why is the 2nd Amendment number 2 in the Bill of Rights? Many in the Founding generation believed that governments are prone to use soldiers to oppress the people.Love my country. Fear my government.
“Gun Control” has really worked in Chicago, New York, NJ, Kalifornia, LA, and other states with strict gun laws. No! 93% of guns used in crimes are obtained illegally. How do you stop that?
Fact is, guns are used far more often in self-defense than in a crime and 98% of the time that a gun is used in self-defense, not a single shot is fired. Most deaths by firearms are suicides (60%)
Last note. I used a gun to deter a criminal from entering my home. He knew that people were in the home before he tried to enter. He had very bad intentions.He was arrested and let out a few days later. My wife has a gun, but has trained and practiced to use it. My daughter will also have a gun once she passes all the training and documentation required.Enforce the laws against criminals and those who sell guns to them. Require sensible gun laws that do not infringe upon the law abiding citizens right to own and possess them.
