This is Nero Wolfe’s second novel by Rex Stout.
Paul Chapin’s college cronies have never completely forgiven themselves for the tragic prank that left their friend a twisted cripple. Yet with their Harvard days behind them, they thought it was all in the past - until a class reunion ends in a fatal fall, and mysterious poems swearing deadly retribution begin to arrive. Now this league of frightened men seeks Nero Wolfe’s expert help. But are Wolfe’s brilliance and Archie’s tenacity enough to outwit a most cunning killer? This is the second mystery in the Rex Stout’s Wolfe series, originally published in 1935.

Love to share. How to reduce the size of files “fritz” ? any idea???

Always upload the best possible quality you can. If you want you can upload both for people that can’t hear compression’s discrepancies or care about sound quality.
Everyone claims too be an expert which is based on their data caps and bandwidth, but a simple Google search will tell you all you need too know about the failings of compression and file formats.
If they don’t like the size let them re-encode it down too any crap rate they want.
You’re never going too satisfy everyone and you’ll get many ungrateful complainers who will discount your effort and time.
If your going too be an uploader you have too ask yourself what type of reputation you want. A reputation for quality uploads were people look for you or sub-par low bit rate content and you just become one of many.

Thank you for the upload but this is an overkill in terms of size, whatever high quality you’re looking for! Remember that the originals were tapes and with much work on improvement it need hardly be more than 300MB. Depending on what system you operate, you can use Audacity, Audio Audition, Amazing Slow-downer etc. to reduce size as long as you maintain 160kbps format speed and 41,000 HZ frame rate for mp3s and 128kbps vbr and 41,000 HZ for apple’s m4a/m4b. MOST IMPORTANT! Ignore the simplistic idealism of of high quality sound; this is not music, this is speech.

Thank You ‘RayC1′. I like quality uploads only. But being in a country with poor internet speed 1 GB or so for one book is much too high. I’ll work on that bitrate stuff a bit. In a way I agree with you ‘marcodiluce’. I’ll try to reduce size without compromising quality in my next upload. Thank you all for your response.

It really depends on what you’re uploading. If the content is Full Cast dramatized with sound effects, music etc… You want FLAC if possible or the highest possible bit rate MP3 or whatever audio format you choose. Would you watch a movie in 32 bit rate? of course not.
If its just plain speech narration from a clean source you can follow marcodiluce advice.
If its not from a clean source up encoding will do nothing too improve the sound. You can always down encode, but never up encode. the exception to that rule is some Apple audio formats as mentioned by marcodiluce also. you can up encode those if your changing them to MP3. Google everything about audio compression and you’ll learn.
Sorry about your crappy internet. That really does put it all in prospective.
I uploaded audios for years on Demonoid. Ripping them from the thousands of audiobooks i have on tape. So the idea that tape is somehow a bad source is rubbish. Most of my uploads are still floating around after 10 years still packed as I made them so I have some experience in the matter.
