1. I never thought I’d ever be nostalgic for those
good ole’ days Islamic terrorism.
2. I wrote a paper in college WAY back in the 1980s about the rise of religious fundamentalism as a source of terrorism. Groups like IRA, Baader Meinhoff, and the PLO, nationalist Soviet clients, were at their apex-My working title was “Holy Terror.” There was a book by the same title some time later: I got a B on the project- Prof said I was “Naive: The wars of religion are over.”
