The Strange Death of Europe is a highly personal account of a continent and culture caught in the act of suicide. Declining birth rates, mass immigration, and cultivated self-distrust and self-hatred have come together to make Europeans unable to argue for themselves and incapable of resisting their own comprehensive alteration as a society and an eventual end.
This is not just an analysis of demographic and political realities, it is also an eyewitness account of a continent in self-destruct mode. It includes accounts based on travels across the entire continent, from the places where migrants land to the places they end up, from the people who pretend they want them to the places which cannot accept them.
Murray takes a step back at each stage and looks at the bigger and deeper issues which lie behind a continent’s possible demise, from an atmosphere of mass terror attacks to the steady erosion of our freedoms. The book addresses the disappointing failure of multiculturalism, Angela Merkel’s U-turn on migration, the lack of repatriation, and the Western fixation on guilt. Murray travels to Berlin, Paris, Scandinavia, Lampedusa, and Greece to uncover the malaise at the very heart of the European culture, and to hear the stories of those who have arrived in Europe from far away.
This sharp and incisive book ends up with two visions for a new Europe–one hopeful, one pessimistic–which paint a picture of Europe in crisis and offer a choice as to what, if anything, we can do next. But perhaps Spengler was right: “civilizations like humans are born, briefly flourish, decay, and die.”

stigmata, i skimmed it to make sure it was what it said, ive lived all over this world and have learned some people are just *insert bad words here*……. and use religion to justify it including christians.
can we just agree that politics and religion are complex subjects with many shades of nuance that are better discussed elsewhere.

Great book. Murray knows what he’s talking about. Heed his warning. Strange and catastrophic times we’re living in indeed.
BTW, I was also surprised to see the torrent’s name appearing as “upload then delete this pile of crap” (assigned by someone who has a hard time dealing with reality, obviously), but I downloaded and checked it, and it appears to be OK. The audio quality is great.

disagreeing with someone does not imply lesser intelligence, just they think you are wrong.
i have an american passport (born here), a british accent, my wife is candian that i met in italy, my oldest son was born in the UAE so i HAVE met, travelled and lived with muslims.
If you want a reasoned discussion then post a site where we can talk like adults without reverbeting to insults and i will finish this POS that i skimmed so we can go in deapth the next time im home

when its a fairly accurate comment i wont, from skimming through it his talking points are all from right wing, heavily biased and no dissenting commentry, the man is pushing his agenda and doing it hard.
as an ‘adult’ i can and did share something i disagree with so others may draw thier own conclusions, now as an adult why does the path name seem to offend?

no, i mean skimming by listening for a few minutes then skipping it forward, this helps me know that the file is what it says it is and has quality that is adequate.
his defence of the edl is stupid (the reason their rallys mostly end in violence is becuase they go looking for it (did i mention i have a british accent and have family and friends there, sometimes return for a week or two to relax and people watch)
He seems fine to talk how europe just needs to be more christian (i highly recomend christian nation - Frederic C. Rich as a possible view to how that would turn out). sure lets get tough on immiration the world over, but realize that here in america since 9/11 the terrorists have been american citizens born on american soil, he doesnt seem to want to fear islam as much as make everyone christian.
as i said just skimmed it, i would not be suprised if he described Combat 18 as misunderstood somewhere in this book.

Quite amusing all those attacking the guy who went to the trouble to upload this book that they all love, despite it not being something he supported.
And they all give it 5 stars before I’m sure listening to a word of it.

With one in eight of the population of (what was once called) Britain, were born outside of Britain and one in twelve residents do not have British passports, the title says it all.

I download this because of a video of the author on the rubin report on youtube. He comes over as a thoughtful, event though conservative and very british guy. I don’t think the 5 minutes the uploader spent at most listening to this and then labelling it as right-wing crap do it justice.
And yes I have travelled the world, have muslim friends and do not believe in any god - so I do not think cristianity is the answer at all. Nevertheless the immigration here in europe is just too much. As an american coming here to sightsee the uploader may just have missed it. I am going to give the book a try.

hallju I am probably old enough to be your father and given the fun I had as a young man I may well be. comments like this are why I stopped sharing on here(I see some of them make their way over here from other sites and I’m fine with that)
I posted a book that I know is a biased lot of ‘naughty words’ and labeled it as such so I can easily find it for deletion on my seedbox. this has triggered so many right wing snowflakes its amazing, I don’t drink ’soy’ and my spine is great btw but thanks for letting me know your one of those idot’s.

I listened to the audiobook, read the book afterwards. If one does, and lives in Europe, then surely this book is exactly for you. It is a balanced account of much of what is wrong with Europes immigration. I live here and see the fruits of it every day.

Mr. Murray is brilliant as usual.
Unbridled immigration, as well as Illegal immigration contributes nothing to a nation except its demise. The UK and America is finding this out, as is most of Europe that takes in people who have no intention of assimilating, but only work towards making a world they escaped from, where freedom is crushed and punished.
