A man trapped in a live-streamed reality dungeon crawl battles monsters for his life—and for the fate of the world—in this fantasy for fans of Squid Game.
Jason Lee came to New York City to see the sights. But his plans quickly change when the Apocalypse Protocol is initiated. Rifts open across the Earth, unleashing hordes of monsters upon humanity. But gateways to dungeons also appear and, with them, opportunity.
Finally, there’s a system announcement: some individuals will be bestowed with powers and abilities to combat the monsters and protect their fellow humans. And when a dungeon materializes in Times Square, causing gargoyles to attack the streets of Manhattan, Jason discovers he’s one of the Awakened—and he’s live streaming to a global audience!
Now, viewers cheer Jason on as he competes in a high-stakes battle for survival. The more he fights, the more he can level up and adapt. With the help of online admirers and the minions at his command, he might just be able to rise above the competition and cement his status as the Strongest Sovereign . . .
One thing is certain: Jason’s vacation is definitely over.

Okay, have both heard and listened to books by this writer and liked them (from the book so far, I like this one as well).
Narration is done by a good one this time. If you’ve listened to 24/7 Demon Mart (funny and great book that you can grab on here or off Amazon), you know the artist and, you know it’s going to be good.
Ever notice (or just me) that the LitRPG books coming out right now are heavy on the apocalypse theme? Maybe just me seeing it but, seems to be the flavour of the month so to speak.
Stay safe folks,

this is just mediocre in every way.

Well, at least no money was put out by you to find out you didn’t like it (gotta look on the bright side of things lol).
I thought the Norse mythology in it was done rather well and, alot of references to some of the Nordic sagas.
Either which way, it’s up here and folks can grab it for free and, that’s all that matters. With prices as high as they are, gotta take the free where you can get it.:)
Stay safe and try to stay out of this freezing cold,

World building sounds weak but it sounds like a entertaining short story. I’ll give it a chance.

Well, I am now a few good chapters in on this book and, well, it’s different.
It does stick to the LitRPG theme and, Norse mythos in it but, it seems the writing (as we get along in the story) is going downhill.
Narration is still good but, first time to hear a book from this author to take a dive. Let’s hope it doesn’t continue but, I still don’t mind the book…..need to unplug for a bit and unwind from work so….it fits the bill.
Stay safe folks.

Story is ok but there is no substance to the book and the supporting characters are just as NPC in this hack n slash book. Narrator tries but still comes off as a robotic due to the writing. Half way through I had to put it down and just play a video game where the NPCs have more personality and storylines.

Uploader should have marked the audiobook under children 7 to 10 years old….
A waste of bandwidth.
