Hey Weenc! I don’t hear buzzing but there is a slight hiss. You could try better (or worse, lol) speakers but the best way to kill excessive “highs” is to convert to 32kbs. When you convert down extreme highs and lows are removed to save file size. Speech doesn’t use those much anyway and maybe that is where you hear a buzz? BTW, 32k is FM quality, 64k, CD quality.
Fre:ac allows you to set high-pass (low frequency filtering) and low-pass (high frequency filtering). I’ve never done that but to save time, I’d suggest you cut a small part of the book with Audacity and play with that file until you get how you like. I’m not an audio expert so if you need help you could ask Gweilo in the forum or google help with that. There’s a lot of good audio forums out there. That’s how I learned most of what I know! :D but I have my limits. I go for awesome, not perfect! LOL ;D
