Thank you — this author was new to me and I am staggered by her talent — she is naturally, organically eloquent.
It reads like life, rather than some literary pill one must swallow for self improvement.
Can’t wait to read her other works!

Added note: I just finished her first book.
Acts of Desperation, though quite good, is very bleak and covers a lot of familiar tropes about obsessive love and self-hating sexual energy.
If you weren’t entranced with that one (I wasn’t) please give Ordinary Human Failings a try anyway.
It has a much broader scope and it is far more sharply observed and written.
