  is this good? there was some 80s film by that name and also a recent movie with same name but they are both low-budget productions with unknown actors so ehh. actually the new one does have Stellan Skarsgård who’s the father of Alexander Skarsgård and Gustaf Skarsgård and Bill Skarsgård (+5 others) so it might be ok.

  When I played the first mp3 file with MXPLAYER, on my android phone and used the application’s equalizer to eliminate 14000 Hz audio, it completely removed the annoying hissing otherwise present.

  I confess that remained unmoved by the reader, despite loving the book.

  Yeah, this is obviously an audio cassette transfer, so a good deal of hissing as well as other suprprises are to be expected. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the original media or know anyone who has. The only source available to me was compressed audio which can’t be edited to remove (or at least reduce) the hissing without transcoding the source which is something I always try to avoid.

  I’m sorry to hear that the cover is not to your liking, because I actually spent some time trying to find a cover which hasn’t been used countless times before, thinking it would be a good match for the version of the audiobook which had never been uploaded to ABB (or any public tracker for that matter) before.

  In all seriousness, nice trolling. Keep up the good work of trying to repel people who have something to share and the desire to do it, especially those who go to the trouble of uploading rare versions from their collections.

  Hello! Thank you for the book! I watched the Dune 2021 and decided to read a book since movie ended so abruptly and I can’t wait few more year to know what happened to the heroes. The book dowloaded really fast (I was downloading during the day)

  Yes! Thank goodness! I am so sick of Scott Brick versions I could just puke. Dune is brilliant but he just ruined it to the point where I would rather re-read the paperback than listen to his grating voice.

  That’s an amazing share, Winterfury! Cover is mesmerizing too)) This is such a masterpiece of voice acting; now the problem for me is , after listening to J.P. Linton’s version, could i get used to others for the next books…

  Thank you for the effort in procuring and sharing a rare release. For those that prefer Brick or Guidall (or even the bombastic abridged full cast version), subjectivity and all that.

  Winterfury has done us all a solid. Choices are welcomed for such a classic and it is a fun experiment doing a comparison between all available versions for what is likely the best (objectively) science fiction novel to date.

  N.B. I think your choice of a cover is great. It eschews a nod to antiquity. Apropos given the age of the novel, the pedigree of your source material and the other covers that most are likely to come across. Again for those that aren’t fond of it, subjectivity etc, they can easily change it.
