@Peter - you keep leaving the same comments on every M4B upload. You’ve been advised to get a FREE converter at freac.org by many people. Listen to the advice and educate yourself instead of demanding people upload in your format of choice. Entitled much?!

SophieNYC educate yourself. Peter left a valid friendly comment about mp3. Most normal people don’t convert files here. They download and enjoy audio books.

@Glen62 - most “normal” people BUY their audiobooks. The rest of us are greateful for a FREE upload from the uploaders who take the time to convert/upload. Peter’s comment would have been “friendly” if he did not comment/bitch about all the M4B uploads. If the files are not to your liking - don’t download them. Buy the book and listen to it in whatever format you want. And BTW - it’s not a huge stretch in education to re-convert a torrent. If you are knowledgeable enough in torrents, then, by all means you are certainly capable of using a FREE online converter. Don’t know how much more spoon-feeding you require…

I gladly convert from m4b/m4a because I CANNOT buy most of these audiobooks. Many are Audible exclusives and I cannot use Audible with my mp3 players. (And I despise iTunes because their policies lost me $3k of music when my previous laptop died and I couldn’t disassociate my account from it.)
I just set my laptop up at work and let it chug away at the conversions while I’m working.

Peter would be well advised (as he has been) to just get the freeware and do the conversion to whatever format pleases him. Just as everyone else converts the files to whatever format they wish (many of us do NOT use MP3s -though they are handy for many things, audiobooks are not their specialty. They work well enough, but other formats work better. No point in whining. When I rip audiobooks, I rip to MP3 even though its rarely the format they’re destined to be used in. Conversion is easy. Be thankful someone sent the books up.

I use the android app Smart Audio book Player. It plays everything, can merge folders, has a book cover search function, and other nice bells and whistles.
