The first and only diary written by a Guantánamo detainee during his imprisonment, now with previous censored material restored.
Mohamedou Ould Slahi was imprisoned in Guantánamo Bay in 2002.
There he suffered the worst of what the prison had to offer, including months of sensory deprivation, torture and sexual assault.
In October 2016 he was released without charge.

Is there an unredacted/uncensored edition of this audiobook ever published?

@ferysery, i don’t think so. If you look at the dates on Wikipedia, it appears that the redacted version was published in 2015 and that the unredacted version was published in 2017. The author (whose name is spelled Slahi not Salahi) has one book on audbile: https://www.audible.com/author/Mohamedou-Ould-Slahi/B00L4NC49C and that was released 2015.01.20. As such, the audible copy is redacted. When you go to Amazon for the “restored addition” and click on the audiobook, it takes you back to the edition published in 2015. Looks like you’ll need to get another version.

Also, the copy that I have with a timestamp of 2021.03.11 is 14:19:08 while this version is 14:29:36. I have a hard time that the 2,500 redactions made by military censors only adds up to 10 minutes of play time.
