I think the author was not prepared for the success of the first book it took forever for book 2 and now there is already a book 3, quality is likely to suffer but worth a shot.

The setting and powers are interesting, but you have to endure a depressed mc who acts like ass every so often to the other characters and the wonders why he keep getting alone/abandoned
