This is among the best of all Doctor Who spinoff series, in audio, video, or text. If I hadn’t already listened to every story in this torrent, I’d be ecstatic about getting my hand on this.

@brassy: I daresay yes. You might miss some (!) references to the original series (or, with the specials, even with NewWho2005), but even without it, J&L is an utterly pleasant ’slightly spooky victorian adventures’ series.

Well, not complete any more. They just announced a new boxset of audiobooks. Presumably, this was the next set they were planning before Trevor Baxter sadly passed away, with the stories rewritten from full cast audio plays to narrated audiobooks.

Not quite complete… you’re missing the first J&L audio, the one that literally started off the series, by fan response … The Mahogany Murderers. Nice to see this collection posted, though.

Yes. they are stand alone seperate spinoff they reference a few Who things but not required to understand story
