Enslaved, segregated, and still segregated to this day by private means (market forces), as well as living under systemic racism such as the CIA flooding black communities with crack while congress punishes the possession of crack 100 times more severely than cocaine, as well as judges sentencing black people far harsher for the same or lesser crimes than white people.
Yes, why would anyone ever blame anything but their selves?
One of these days, you should read/listen to one of these books, instead of getting all of your information from reactionaries like Shapiro, Walsh, Peterson, Crowder and etc.

As always, tell white men what they’re doing wrong and they plug their eyes, crying and screaming “WAAHHHH!!” White men have been writing books, doing lectures and talking a big game about everyone else for HUNDREDS of years, but NOBODY is allowed to say a word to them?? LOL LOL
The white man’s superior attitude is a constant problem in everything and the biggest reason why no other lifeform on this planet has to deal with the problems humans have. No red squirrels are trying to exterminate all brown squirrels. No hawk is trying to convince other hawks that eagles are lazy and should all be killed. Have you ever seen a bunch of Nigerians doing a march against Indonesians?? Have you ever heard of a Bolivian anti-Korean group?? NO! But look around and you’ll see that there’s ALWAYS a white, European, Christian person, group or others with their attitude, AGAINST ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE ELSE!

No one wants to cancel anything. There is no reason to do so. People are just rejecting this ideology on mass.
The few remaining people who can’t seem to let go of these faulty and completely unhelpful (to ANYONE) viewpoint stand out as people who struggling to evolve with additional information and perspective.
The reality is we have all heard nothing but this stuff since 219-2020 (its certainly been longer but that is my best approximation as to when it became the ONLY way to see things)
This was preached on every platform, used to filter every subject, all day every day for three of four years and not only have things not improved they have gotten significantly worse.
This did not help employ people, it has not cut down the alleged problems according to the very people who brought this issue to forefront.
This is nothing more than a way to divide society and keep us dysfunctional. Most people see now that this has absolutely nothing to do with racism or equality. If anything it is delegitimizing true injustice. This is an intentionally destructive ideology.
That doesn’t mean that there’s no racism or problems with our society. Most people have tried this thinking on for size and see it for what it is.
If you can’t let this go, if you’ve built too much of your identity around this thinking, whatever, Sorry that really sucks.

@Columbia I think you should read/listen to one of these books one day. Like this one (although I would recommend the book “The New Jim Crow” by Michelle Alexander). Only then can you judge whether the secondary sources of information which you consume provide a factual account.
And books such as this are a response. They’re not the leaders of the dividing.
What sort of uniting message can people send to the racists and white supremacy movements who go by the motto “we hope you die and suffer”? I’m not understanding your point. You yourself are attacking this book and not providing a way or an example of how to unite with those who want others to die, suffer and etc because of their skin color.

I have no idea what you’re asking me. But I appreciate you engaging.
Are you asking how I would go about creating unity with this extreme group of racists you describe; People who are so racist they spend their energy hoping people “suffer and die” because of race?
Is that what the goal is here,
Is that what “unity” equals to you?
More importantly, is that what you are proposing this book does?
It sounds like you are describing a very dysfunctional an extreme subsection. A very small minority. who are not likely to thrive in any meaning situation or environment. Dysfunctional people exist but I’m not sure it’s wise to fixated on them.
I don’t think the type of people you are describing would likely ever read a book like this. Maybe in jail after findingJesus or something.
So, it is hard for me ( I haven’t read it) to imagine how this book or its message helps address or reach these people and honestly, I could care less what these types of people do.
My idea of unity doesn’t require every single person with every single crazy idea. It would be nice, maybe a little impractical right?
Are trying to say, “how dare I criticize this book, when I don’t have the of how to unifying us all to them. I need to know how to bring this hypothetical extremists group into the fold, help them see the light and join hands with there fellow man?

1. One thing that I am saying is that yes, you do need to read or listen to at least one of these books before you completely absorb the narrative of people like Shapiro, Walsh, Peterson and etc. To which I recommended either this book, but preferably “The New Jim Crow”. Because how can you determine that the former are telling you the truth if you do not actually know the information in these primary sources?
What do you think a book such as this, or the one I recommended, says? If you were to actually open one of these up, you would see that they are not divisive and that they represent objective reality. You mention Jesus so you’re likely a Christian. Books like these are how you place yourself in someone else’s place. It is how you gain understanding, and the ability to empathize.
2. The other thing that I am saying, is that you are expecting something unreasonable. Which is that those who are getting attacked, to unite with their attackers. To use an example, asking Slavic, Black, Jewish and etc people to unite with the Nazis is an easy thing to say, but is it an easy thing to do? And why does this task fall onto the former groups when they are the ones getting attacked?
Which is what I am asking. How do you propose this happen when these groups are facing such racism, including undeniable, systemic racism? (you’re also heavily underestimating the scale and extent of this racism. It’s not a very small extremist minority. Marx uses the word “reserve army of labor” to which I would copy and say there is a “reserve army of racists” (but on a much larger scale than in the prior case. Basing it on a small amount of data that I have seen, it’s a large number of liberals and conservatives), who only require a nudge to support extremist Nazi like policies).
3. Lastly, no, books such as this are not aimed at the ultra nationalists. They’re aimed at people such as myself. And if it were not for these books, I would know none of this information.
Why do you think the racists are so keen on book burning and banning, as well as banning “critical race theory”? (which is simply black history). To quote: “Book bans in US public schools increased by 28% in the first half of the 2022-23 academic year, the writers’ organisation Pen America said on Thursday, describing a “relentless” conservative “crusade to constrict children’s freedom to read”. Of the 1,477 books banned this school year, 30% are about race, racism or include characters of colour, while 26% have LGBTQ+ characters or themes.
