Thinking Outside Pandora’s Box
He’s been called a lot of things, but no one says that Dan Carlin is boring. His two long-running podcasts are among the most popular in the world. Part storyteller, part analyst, Carlin has mastered the art of looking at subjects from multiple angles and dissecting and thinking about them in original ways. He isn’t afraid to go deep or to inject historical context into modern debates. Whether it’s history or current events he’s discussing, his passion is contagious, his approach refreshing and his ideas tickle your brain in all the right places. He’ll make you mad too. You’ll like it.
I am uploading this because while there are well seeded torrents already, none of them are well tagged and/or contain the correct artwork. This includes the files purchased from the Hardcore History site itself.
I fixed all the tags, included comments, and reinserted correct artwork for all episodes released.
This contains all of his podcasts 1-59, plus the 3 extra episodes released.
Enjoy, and please support Dan by at least subscribing to his podcast:

Nonsense for those that don’t already know history enough to be fooled by his biased view. He takes minute details and spins them into the catalysts for change. While sometimes these small things did contribute to history. Other times they played no part and were forgotten, As they played no role at all. He seems to read something. Then take that detail then dwell on it. trying to imagine how it interconnects. Focusing on them to the exclusion of what really happened. Blinders on, he retells a story of half-truth. Or .0001% truths told to represent the whole picture.

These are awesome, thanks!
Would love to hear from the above commenter some examples of what he claims to be fact distortion

By all means, do not limit your knowledge of History to his podcast. But I must emphasise Dan Carlin is neither a “brainwasher”, nor an uniformed storyteller.
Please ignore the ridiculous retard who wrote the first comment.

Dan Carlin has never claimed to be a historian, so if you think he is brainwashing you then you are not only mistaken, but you’ve missed the point of his podcast. Dan is very entertaining in his delivery and actually makes me interested in finding out more on the historical topics he talks about.
Brainwashing? hell no. interesting and entertaining? hell yes!

Couldn’t have said it better Enthused.
I Like the part where his own site describes himself as ‘He’s been called a lot of things, but no one says that Dan Carlin is boring.’
And never claims his interpretation of history is the one and only true way.
He just thinks that historian scholars have a habit of seeing a arrow and painting a dartboard in front of it.

i am really enjoying these podcasts…and carlin often points out he is not a historian, but a lover of history…he also points out his own biases…he is a very interesting listen and good story-teller…and these podcasts are very enjoyable…thank you for posting them

Long pauses, interrupted by high-pitched shrieks. Nearly unbearable to listen to. How come this guy is a famous speaker?

Huge fan of Dan. He basically invented the long form history podcast for good reason.

I’ve never had an interest in history before I started listening to these podcasts.

Ive listened to Dan’s podcast on the khans and read some historians works and Dan was skeptical on some of the more outlandish claims while the historians told them as if they were fact. I trust him more than most. Great podcast, perhaps the best. First comment is made my someone who obviously has a case of illusory superiority

Dan has a very fresh look on history. Most of us know, that history is written by those, who are left standing. Many (honest) historians would tell you, that history is actually about interpreting it. There is no definitive version of truth, many facts are distorted and it is not unusual to find out, that historians were wrong about hings…for decades or centuries.
Dan is meticulous in his research…tries to read between the lines and be skeptical, but based on available evidence. I trust him more than many scholars… and again, maybe he’s not 100% right, but listening to him definitely doesn’t make me dumber or bored. The first post is a genuine troll bait:P

A fantastic collection! A must have for anybody with a passion for history. as others have stated, please ignore the unbelievable ignorance that the first commenter spews out of his dumb uneducated face hole. Dan Carlin is an absolute joy to listen to and his passion for history is infectous

Some of his podcasts are really great, Some are incredibly poor quality (concept and execution-wise). I listened to some that were areas I have a lot of knowledge in and he did a pretty fair job of explaining some of the differing historical claims.
That said there is a bit of his personal political bias that bleeds in that I always keep in mind when listening to correct for. Mostly this is around his negative view of the benefits of governments in general, and a bit of a kinder view of Christendom than pagan cultures. He skews a bit egoist and western individualistic. He used to be a very conservative talk-show host but you can tell he started to drift away from that nonsense with the modern MAGA insanity at least.
