Yes, they fought back. Yes, they burned places to the ground. Yes, they broke the law.
But, here’s a thought… When an entire race of Americans (and no, I’m one of those white people who get all the breaks) is not handled to the same degree of law as every white person…when the entire race is not treated the same as the society they’re part of…
…why should they conform to those society’s rules? If a black man can be choked to death right in the street, and white people claim it’s lawful…what the heck to you expect his brothers and sisters to do?
White people don’t get racially profiled. White people tend to get fairer trials. White people who blow up buildings and shoot up schools tend to make it to trial, if they don’t kill themselves first. Can we say the same about any person of color?
