Thank you, Mojo. I read this when it came out, and came to know all the players’ names and roles in the way so many who follow today’s headlines know the protagonists and minor actors in the current news. Somehow I can’t manage to invest myself today as I did then, though I can’t deny things are at least as fraught as they were in 1974. Never thought I’d feel nostalgic for the old constitutional crisis, but there it is. Just getting old, I guess.

@vaneyck - Watergate seems kind of quaint, like small beer compared to the present day. This guy seemed to have several Watergates before he was even elected, with a new one every few weeks.
