Michael Shermer is usually good for a listen.
Boghossian, OTOH, got his hand slapped for ‘pranking’ the establishment in a way that was more Ashton Kutcher than Morley Safer.

Only a foreword from Shermer, unfortunately. The book did receive a generous puff piece from cult leader, scientific racist, eugenics-enthusiast, and “my brain is substantially larger than that of a person from a minority” skinhead, Stefan “Molyneux.”

Yikes. What a family Stefan and his wife, Christina Papadopoulos, make up - Mrs deFOOing and Mr scientific racism.
In that case, time would be much better spent listening to the Making Sense with Sam Harris podcasts.

Faced with a book that purports to be about reason and rationality, our protagonist gives it a shot. Within the first five minutes his intelligence has been insulted. Frustrated he rolls his eyes and shakes his head at the utterly nonsensical book and walks away.

This is not rocket science.
The growing body of scientific evidence shows clearly that the universe had a beginning and was designed.
Design can only come from a mind.
To disregard the science is up to each individual, to deny the science is merely irrantional.

@chrisxiii: If design can only come from a mind, then what mind designed the creator?
BTW, yes, the big bang theory implies the universe had a beginning…you just added the part about it being designed. No credible scientist thinks that because there is no evidence for it.

I think the comments may be better than the book.
Who is it aimed at?
I’m sure only atheists will want to read it, so it’s preaching to the choir.

Sheer senselessness in the comment sections is the evidence why ppl need to read things from both sides of the spectrum……..the literal manifestation of echochambers in the form of ppl fighting over “intellectual” work of literature is mind numbingly ashtonishing
