Neoliberalism - the doctrine that market exchange is an ethic in itself, capable of acting as a guide for all human action - has become dominant in both thought and practice throughout much of the world since 1970 or so. Writing for a wide audience, David Harvey, author of The New Imperialism and The Condition of Postmodernity, here tells the political-economic story of where neoliberalization came from and how it proliferated on the world stage. Through critical engagement with this history, he constructs a framework, not only for analyzing the political and economic dangers that now surround us, but also for assessing the prospects for the more socially just alternatives being advocated by many oppositional movements.

This is the best introduction to the dominant ideology of our time. Neoliberalism was born in blood in Pinochet’s Chile which was used as a guinea pig in the economic experiment conducted at the University of Chicago. Who knew at that time that it would spread across the world and within four short decades set fire to the ancient social contracts, creating unprecedented inequality, propaganda and divisions within our societies. Born in blood, now dying in fire, this the most abhorent ideology would not die before it has torn our world asunder.

Words have power, the problem is in the name of NeoLiberal. There is nothing Liberal about it, but commonly educated and thinking people hear the word liberal and associate it with liberal and the left.
When in fact NeoLiberalism which they named, is the ideology of the Global Capitalists the Global Ruling Class, there is noting Liberal abut them, and they do not adhere to any political party or ideology, they control them.
By keeping the masses to whom they limit opportunity and training in critical thought fighting like rats over the meaning of conservative vs. liberal, left vs. right, it serves them VERY WELL.
They control ALL global Capital (Mammon) and adhere to the first principle of power, divide and conquer.
