Soon, Fennrick finds himself in frenzied, violent combat, and it’s a toss-up as to which he’ll lose first: his life or what little sanity he has left. With his criminal record, estranged family, and nonexistent future, he’s ready to accept death.
But with monsters lurking in every corner, he’s surprised to find himself battling all comers—human or otherwise—in a desperate attempt to save his own worthless self. Can Fennrick emerge from Hell with a single shred of his sanity intact—or will it be game over?

File quality and narration is excellent.
MC is… overly dumb and childish. I think the author is trying to portray he is unhinged from his past exp, but it just comes off as juvenile.

Anyone know where the author is going with this? Hell mode is generally high difficulty, high reward, but the MC keeps getting criticized and loses rewards and points. There’s only a few tiny benefits that he gets. Humans aren’t even supposed to be able to clear Hell mode, so I’m not sure why they’re all so highly critical of the MC. Great narrator, I’m just surprised at how unbalanced his trials are

Well, I have to admit that this is a great book. I got it from a bud of mine and, will admit he’s got good taste.
As soon as I have credits for Audible (or if he get’s it first), I’ll be grabbing the 2nd book.
I am wondering where this is going as well since Hell Mode is ultra hard but, the MC keeps getting knockbacks. It does make for a very nice read and, if this author has any more books (other than book 2 in this series), I’ll give it a try.
Well, off to shovel (guess what??!!) more and more freaking snow. I got to admit, this storm was (and is) no joke….looks like the weather people got this one right. lol
