Thanks for noxx27's great suggestion, we've proudly present the new forum for you. It's still under test, please give us your thoughts about it.

I admit it, I mainly couldn't resist being the first (non-staff) person to post here! Grin

Nevertheless, here's what I'm thinking: The communication tools on the main site work well for the initial requests and shares, but are very hit-and-miss for follow-ups. A forum is much better suited for that sort of thing, so... an excellent addition all around!

I just found the page and forum, and they're amazing. I think a forum is always helpful, to make requests and to offer different things.

I have just found this site and I really congratulate you on such a wonderful place.  Please explain how one can upload books to the site.  I would love to share other than just seeding.  Oh i use bitlord to download and seed but uploading I am lost I am afraid.

Thank for hours of wonders

To start with ...A Nubie here...Gaby! My current status suggests I figure out how to upload some books I already have. I would though appreciate knowing upload\download ratios.

Hope to see some of yall in the coming months

No ratios here, in fact the site doesn't have its own tracker. When you upload a torrent it lists several public trackers you can use. So sharing is its own reward here.

Also you can't edit your torrent after you upload it, so take care all the info is correct.

Have a look at this thread:
https://audiobookbay.lu/forum/general-questions/help-me-share-for-the-first-time/
for how to upload.

My own recommendations:
DO NOT post Audible .aa or .aax files, only the original purchaser can play them.
There are threads her about how to convert them if you need to.
Save as plain MP3 or .m4a.  Bitrate depends on the content, spoken word, no music, 32 kbps is fine and gives a compact file.

If you need to edit/join/split an MP3 file, get MP3DirectCut, which can do all that without degrading the audio.
Nice to tag the files using MP3tag.
Both those apps are free.

Finally, name the files sensibly, e.g. "Title-01.mp3", etc) stripping out any codenumbers  from your source.
Put all the files in one folder, along with perhaps a cover image. Then you can create a torrent file by selecting the folder.

I always had trouble trying to get in to the forum, so anything is better than nothing, but that seemed to be a problem with my mail server.lol
The 1 thing I would like to see more of is category recommendations;ie fantasy I loved harry potter it had great magic etc... action, love lee child cause jack reacher beats the crap out of everyone and so on so forth. No matter how old or new the books are if you read something you like post it and tell us why, i am always looking to broaden my horizons and I always try and say thanks.
cheers
