I cannot remember the name of the books, the series, or the author. Heck, I cannot remember what they were about.

What I do remember is that they had birds that were familiars and one of the main characters is a big white (like white white) man with long white hair and he's helping a smaller normal person get somewhere or something.

I do remember the books featured the birds on them and if I remember right, eagles were super rare in times or war or something.

Anyone have an idea? It's time to start a new series... If I cant figure this one out, I'll listen to Hitchhiker or Discword series again...
