Ryk Brown, Frontiers I & II series:

OMG 20 BOOKS!..and I listened to them all! These are Military Scifi. I never thought I'd like this sort of book but these actually have good characters and dialog. I only get fustrated when there's too many battles (like in book 12) and for me that's boring stuff. Like bad "Morning Routine" videos. People stop doing this!

Joe Ledger:

I just finished the first four Joe Ledger books. I've not read a lot of "thrillers" but I've liked all of them (most were Scifi-thrillers). These were good and I plan to continue the series later. Books so far were about Zombies, Crazy Creatures, Plague, and UFO/Aliens. All were weird and interesting and that's what I like. Wink Huh, I just realized that's Michael, weird but interesting. lol

Jim C. Hines, Goblin Trilogy, Goblin Quest: (GraphicAudio Edition)

This is a fun book with some amusing dialog. I just started the second book, which seems to have more narration and I prefer dialog but I plan to finish the trilogy. The little goblin Jake is so sweet!! The humor is satirical like Caverns and Creatures' books but no dick jokes. Smiley Anyway, everything GraphicAudio is so much better!

EDIT: I just remembered there was one, dick joke.  Smiley

Merry Christmas everyone!

Almost finished The Bloody Meadow, the second Captain Korolev detective novel by William Ryan.
https://audiobookbay.lu/audio-books/captain-korolev-02-the-bloody-meadow-william-ryan/

Korolev is a Moscow detective, in the late 30s. Though patriotic, he's well aware of the faults of his country, and remains a Christian privately. Hates it when cases get political and the NKVD jumps in, since he's likely to become collateral damage.
In this story he is sent to Odessa to investigate the apparent suicide of an actress on a movie shoot. Since she was involved with a high-up in the government, her death is very "sensitive" and they want a trustworthy Moscow hand to run the case.
Politically, the Ukraine is not a happy part of the USSR, after being starved to death by Stalin a few years earlier.

Anyway, an excellent detective novel.  A bit like a period version of Martin Cruz Smith's Renko stories.

Freakonomics (for the third time...<.<....>.>....).

What? Sumos taking a dive, teachers cheating for cash, and drug dealers who could make more at McDonalds are all interesting subjects. :-D

I just finished For We Are Many, Bobiverse Book 2 by Dennis E. Taylor.

It's such a fantastic sci-fi trilogy. Very funny, and interesting reading. Highly recommend it.

Peter Meredith - Undead World 1-9

Amazing series! Jillybean and her zebra Ipes are two of the most enjoyable characters that you will find in any zombie book.

4.5 stars
After reading this, I decided to start grabbing these, but as it turns out, book 1 and 10 are no longer seeded from what I can tell. There are also only 3 peers on each, though nobody has anything to share.

It's sad that book 10, which was shared a month ago, has completely lost all seeds and peers with any chunks. I hope it'll change in the coming days, but I'm not holding out much hope.

That's why I started uploading to MAM. They have 6 seedboxes that grab the book immediately and start seeding ... forever. I use them as ... backup Tongue

I thought you gave up on registering on MAM. I don't like the thought of having to give out my real IP to them. It seems... counter intuitive to me.

I'm guessing you started seeding book 10 now, since it went active after your post here. Thanks <3

Now I'm just missing book 1, but I'll stick with it for a week or so, and hope a seeder will reappear some time.

I don't have book 10. I don't have any of my shares after 20+ seeders I stop seeding and delete the book. That's why I upload on mam. If someday I can't rip from audible I hope to find my shares there do DL Smiley

I've been really enjoying the Marjory Fleming series! Book 3 was a bit of a struggle to get through as the characters and plot were a bit meandering but loved the first two and hoping the next one will keep things a bit more simple for my erratic mind to follow  Cheesy

I'm currently listening to Traveling in Space by Steven Paul Leiva. Intelligent, humorous and poignant sci-fi. I would highly recommend this book, even to people who don't normally like sci-fi.

Hello,
This torrent has no more seeds. Is there any way I can get this one from you. really looking forward to it,
Thanks!

M.R. Carey - The Girl with All the Gifts:

An intimate Zombie story of a little girl finding her place in a new world of zombies.
Very good characters and story! I don't want to give anything away so...  5 stars

Arthur T. Bradley - The Survivalist 1-8:

If you liked Peter Meredith's "Undead World" (Jillybean) you'll like this one. Fast paced with good characters, dialog and humor.  4 Stars

G. Michael Hopf - New World 1-7:

The main character, Gordan, is a murdering, narcissistic douche, but his kids and wife love and respect him deeply and obey his every wish.  Roll Eyes Still, the books are fast paced, mostly boring characters but like a car wreck, I couldn't look away so ya, I listened to all 7 books. 3 stars

Mainak Dhar - Zombiestan:

A strange zombie story where Pakistanis die and come back as Jihadist zombies that get smarter over time and do that sweet thing Jihadist love to do, kill normal people. 3 stars

Mario Acevedo - Felix Gomez 1-3 (The Nymphos of Rocky Flats, X-Rated Bloodsuckers & The Undead Kama Sutra)

I've put off these for along time because of the covers and titles. I was told they were good and they really are! I thought they'd be sexist and juvenile but actually have very good characters, dialog and interesting Vampire/Paranormal/Detective stories. I really like these.  4 Stars

Nicky Drayden - The Prey of Gods:

A crazy story about drugs, spirits, manifestations, gods, drag queens, robots, monkeys and more. If you're looking for a great "something different" story...
This book has several arcs that bring all the characters together near the end.   5 stars

Ben H. Winters - Last Policeman 1 - The Last Policeman:

Did Not Finish. After 2 hours the story was still plodding along on a boring murder investigation as an asteroid is weeks away from destroying the earth. Doom and gloom. I was rooting for the asteroid to finish them off early but I had to stop instead. If you like detective stories you make like this book more (it's rated 4 stars on audible) but I give it...  1 star.

Altered Carbon By Richard K. Morgan. I binge-watched the tv-series last weekend, so it was time to listen the original. It's different, but not that much. Both worth your while.

I'm on book 7 (Love Me Not) of MJ Arlidge's DI Helen Grace series. This series focuses on the life of Helen Grace who is a detective inspector in a smaller city outside of London.

I am really enjoying this series. The characters are complicated, and I feel for them. The story has so many surprises it keeps me guessing throughout, and explores situations that a lot of other authors/stories do not or have not.

If you enjoy crime-thrillers with a lot of twists and turns this is the perfect series for you.

Brooklyn on fire... Mary Handley

Interesting series although some historical inaccuracies.  A southern lady describes another lady as "pregnant" that just would not have been said in 1890 but regular ladies.  My grandmum never said "pregnant" back in her day of the early 1920's... it was always "with child" "in the family way" my mum never really said "pregnant" until the late 1980's.

In the first book... Mary, the main character falls into bed ~ without much thought.  Granted she is supposed to be unusual... but back then women would have been considered "fallen" and destitute if she fell with child.  Mary is also educated.
