Looks like we're getting a new side adventure next month.

Deathtrap: Expeditionary Force Mavericks, Book 1

The human soldiers stranded on the planet Paradise have been recruited into an alien legion to do the dirty jobs that the high-tech species won't do. Their first mission is to kick the enemy off a backwater planet no one cares about. It's a simple assignment, except everyone has a hidden agenda, and the planet could become a deathtrap.

Here's what Craig Alanson had to say about it...

And as a bonus FUCK YEAH!... It would appear Expeditionary Force has been optioned for a television series.

I'm excited about the new book, but I'm very wary of the series. The studio isn't exactly known for doing great things, and I fear they'll fuck it up. It's almost inevitable that they make some less than mediocre shit show that'll  do no justice to the books. I know series/movies are usually much worse than the books they're based on, but but when they get it right, it's amazing. To do that, they need the right director and studio. This probably isn't one of those cases.

I hope I'm wrong.

There have been a few good military (or partially military) SF series. BSG (2004), Space, Above and Beyond, The Expanse. I don't know "Deathtrap", but sounds like it could be like Space, Above and Beyond.

Star Trek is just laughable. Their model for space battles is Napoleonic sailing ships blasting each other with broadsides at arm's length. BSG is like WWII Pacific War. Only The Expanse even tries to work out and show realistic weapons and tactics.

If you like this stuff, see SpaceDock: a Youtube channel that takes space warfare very, very seriously.

Otherwise, there is supposedly a second season of Altered Carbon coming. If it follows the 2nd book, it would have a lot of military parts, set on a colony planet during a civil war.
