Looking for recommendations for one of my favourite genres, SUPER power worlds!

Preferably with a more mature style, meaning there are consequences, people die, villains aren't out of prison every weekend, etc.

Some of the ones I've enjoyed and recommend that I can remember at the moment are -

The Perfect Run by Maxime J Durand. This is definitely one of my favourites, such a great world the author created too!

Super Powereds by Drew Hayes (Awesome series! Would recommend the Graphic Audio version, great stuff!!)

Villains Code, another very good series from Drew Hayes!!

The Murder of Crows by Chris Tullbane. This was a really well done one, on the mature side for sure.

Super Genetics by Sean Dunning. Currently reading the first book and enjoying it! (Just wish there wasn't so much focus on "I'm a child, and looking up to adults like they're gods, etc. Never thought that way myself so urks me lol)

Super World by Benjamin Keyworth

Supervillainy and Other Poor Career Choices by J. R. Grey. This was a little fun one too!

Quest Academy by Brian J Nordon. Another great one!

Industrial Strength Magic by Macronomicon was another awesome one! A nice surprise.

My taste probabaly does not align with yours perfectly since from your list only the Hayes books are among my favorites, but i'll try out Benjamin Keyworth as well. Sounds nice. I went through my list of favorites and i realized they're mostly not super-powered worlds like the Hayes books, but since you don't have a lot of recommendations here i figured it's worth a try, even if they're just close, not exacly what you're looking for.

  • In The Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson, people got super powers which turned them kinda crazy and evil. This turned the world into a dystopia. The MC has no powers and is trying to fight the powered ones.
  • Vae Victis by Ivan Kal is a series where the system incorporates earth and everyone gets some powers. The MC was a vampire before incoropration, so her new powers are vampirism-oriented.
  • In Breach Wars by Ilona Andrews almost the whole story is about exploring an alien rift, but the setting is that some people get super powers that that are mostly classified by how they're useful for rift exploration. It's possible that further in the series there will be more action on earth too.
  • Rachel Aaron's DFZ series are not technically about super powered people, but they're similar because there are urban settings and MCs with unusual/unique powers.
  • When Among Crows by Veronica Roth is similarly technically not about super powered people, but instead there are fictional species of near-human people on earth who have powers, and a cult of humans with powers.

I hope you'll like at least one of them Smiley

i also tried to read Hearts of Heroes series by Molly J. Bragg, but i was traumatized by the sex stuff with the sadistic space rabbit. It appeared when i was already invested in the story, so i tried to push through, but it was just a bit too much for me.

You never mess with a young girl around James Brownstone.

It doesn't matter what crime syndicate you belong to, that just doesn't sit well with him.

The world has changed since the news of Oriceran came out twenty years before. Now, countries all over the world have agreed to using a bounty system for dangerous criminals using advanced magic or advanced technology.

People too powerful for the cops to deal with.

Magical criminals, thugs and bounty hunters, in the future we revert to what worked in the past.

if you find out you are hunted by Brownstone, we suggest you turn yourself in.

It will save you a monumental ass-kicking.

Brownstone likes his life simple, but Life is about to throw him a wicked curveball

The award-winning saga begins a new chapter!

Edwin Windsor, Efficiency Consultant for Supervillains, attempts to tame a rage-fueled Crazy Psycho Murder Tree hell-bent to revenge itself on meat-kind.

He delegates much of the job to his most recent hire, underdog, defense attorney, and literal little guy, Talmadge Haggleblat. But when Talmadge finds himself caught between the highly privileged social justice vigilante "The Lynx" and the Crazy Psycho Murder Tree itself, will he be crushed in the undergrowth, or will he find a way to succeed in evil?
