I'm looking for a book whose title I've forgotten. It's about a boy who is basically a Robin Hood with magical powers(which he possibly only learns when he joins the rebels later) . He ambushes tax collector wagons and has the power of shadows. His parents were killed/died and that may be part of why he ambushes the kingdom's tax collector carts. He lives in a giant tree that normally produces a lethal sap, however, when his father was alive he taught him the secret to turn off the tree's sap production, thereby making it safe to only him. He gets discovered by rebels who disguise themselves as an orphanage(from what I remember) and also practice magic (which I believe was outlawed) , and learns he is able to practice more than one type of magic, which is normally impossible or very rare. They are chased from the hideout and all the rebel orphans move in to his home tree hideout. Later on a slumbering dragon is somehow involved in fighting the kingdom/kingdom's evil mage.

I was hoping to find out what it was so I could download it again, and hoping book 2 was out.

I think this story relates to the book of "Shadow of the Wolf by Tim Hall ", if I`m not wrong
