Hi everyone,

Any good Nuclear War novels here?

Something on the lines of Alas Babylon?

Cheers and Merry Christmas.

Harry Turtledove's "Hot War" trilogy
Bombs Away, 2015
Fallout, 2016
Armistice, 2017.

The US nukes China in 1951s during the Korean War, Russia gets involved and it's WWIII.
Setting in 1951 meant that it wouldn't be over in 20 minutes as it would if it happened after ICBMs.

There are many. many post-nuclear war books, some which include the war, but usually that's over pretty quickly and the rest is about survival, or more likely not surviving, in the aftermath. And a lot of Mad Max style thrillers. (e.g. James Axler - Deathlands Complete GraphicAudio Collection).

Nevil Shute's On the Beach is just after a nuclear war, a US sub travels to Australia looking for survivors.

Thanks, will look it up!

I've read On The Beach already.
