Hello! Does anyone happen to know of any fantasy authors similar to Diana Wynne Jones, Patricia C. Wrede, Cressida Cowell, or Eva Ibbotson please? I'd love anything magical, lighthearted, and well-narrated!

Right up my alley! Though I can't say I've read anything from those authors specifically, I do read tons of children's fantasy. Here's a shortlist of some of my favourites;

[Largely Modern or Historic Fantasy]
The Menagerie Series, by Tui T. Sutherlands,
Spy School and Funjungle, by Stuart Gibbs (though it's not fantasy),
Anything written by Gordon Korman is going to be solid,
Jack Blank Adventures, by Matt Myklusch,
The Chronicles of Egg, by Geoff Rodkey,
Janitors, by Tyler Whitesides,
The Blackthorn Key, by Kevin Sands,
Wizard for Hire, Obert Skye,

[Proper Fantasy]
League of Princes, by Christopher Healy,
Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, by Michelle Paver (I'm not sure whether this is considered light-hearted, though it's not dark or horror either),
Wilderlore, by Amanda Foodey.

This list makes me realize how few proper fantasy books I read- but in my defense, all the light-hearted ones tend to be modern! >:c Tell me if you find anything good! Hope this helps.
