Posted the book ... https://audiobookbay.lu/audio-books/science-in-the-capital-03-60-days-and-counting-requested-kim-stanley-robinson/

I really liked the Mars books. They have adventure, challenges, characters, politics and plots. That would mane a great TV series! ...If given a good budget.

There were some attempts, but never went forward.

The National Geographic series "Mars" obviously owes something to KSR.

And the Martian Republic of The Expanse; though so far we've only had brief parts set there; am now watching season 4 and may be more  later.

I'm actually amazed at how Elon Musk is pushing the whole world into the future! I Love It! I'm so going to go to Mars when there's cruise ship to there and fun things to do.

Also I loved the wardrobe for Avasarala in the Expanse series (and the story in general)...so glad it got continued♥.

I think her wardrobe and jewelry is perfect for her age and character. ♥♥♥!

Did you know that, with money and effort, they can actually build an elevator from the moon to, almost, earth. You could take an Elon starship into the sky and dock with the bottom of the elevator, then ride a cruise ship sized elevator to the moon! It's because the moon doesn't rotate and it could all be solar powered too. So no rockets to explode.

Just imagine...a glass dance floor looking down on the earth and the stars and moon above.

Here's an interview with the costume designer:

It's because the moon doesn't rotate and it could all be solar powered too. So no rockets to explode.

The hard part is to get from earth into space to begin with.

The moon does rotate, every 28 days. Actually, space elevators work by connecting a point where the rotational velocity is the same as orbital speed, or go out further to escape velocity. Would not work if the planet did not rotate. It has to be super strong to support thousands of miles of cable.

A space elevator can theoretically work on any planet or moon. With lower gravity on the moon it is feasible with  known materials, would not have to be as strong as one from earth to orbit (which is beyond current technology). But earth's gravity complicates it.
Isaac Arthur discusses lunar space elevators in this:

Smiley Smiley Smiley  You know what I meant G ... relative to Earth. It also rotates around the sun.

I know about Issac Arthur. I took a class that had clips on his YouTube.
Class was about planning your life and covered lots of areas of change. Like how we might live a few hundred years. Financial planning for that. Changes in government due to corporations and Moon/Mars colonies. Also discussed transferring minds of old or sick people into simulations or android bodies. How the pace of technological and social change is accelerating. Past innovations. It's actually amazing how much has changed in the last 100 years. It was a really interesting class. I first got interested in space stuff and thinking about the future of things, when I saw that rocket land a few years ago. Now I really want to see them living on Mars permanently.
Thanks for link. They also did a Savage patch on a uniform...
