Endeavour has gone, and in its place is the return of DS Roy Grace. Once again, a vile criminal — a prowler who attacks women while wearing a black rubber outfit — offers a pitch-dark case for John Simm’s Brighton detective, one that compels him to delve into the past. Craig Parkinson offers excellent support as usual, but many viewers may feel the queasy crime case is a bit much, certainly pre-watershed.
