I would like to request the audiobook One of Ours narrated by Louis B. Jack, please. Many thanks! When trying out the sample, the narration started off fairly average to my ears, but by the end of those short two and a quarter minutes, it brought back nearly the same intensity of emotion I had felt when first reading the book. Thank you for the link, justme, however I'll hold out until you or some other kind soul can find the audiobook with Louis B. Jack narrating. The sample really sold me on his voice and the flow of his narration. I thought he channelled the intensity of emotion extremely well (the last 20-30 seconds of that short sample, especially), and now I can't imagine listening to anyone else (from the so far available narrators). It's a beautiful book - I've read it twice over the last approximately twenty years, and I'm sure I'll read it a few more times in future. Bump. |
